About Tom Palka

Thomas M. Palka, CFP

Thomas M. Palka, CFP is a Wayne State University graduate with a B.S. in Investment Finance. Active in the financial services industry since 1987, Tom has observed industry trends and has studied various success strategies, applying this knowledge to create effective financial plans for his clients. As a Certified Financial Planner^TM since 1993, Tom has beneficially contributed to the industry via his extensive work and research in this field, earning him the title ”Financial Planner of the Year” in 1996 by Mariner Planning Corporation.

After contributing as a full partner with a top Registered Investment Advisory Firm in Dearborn, MIchigan for 12 years, Tom began to conceive of a better way to serve his growing investment clientele. Armed with knowledge aquired from his extensive experience in the field, coupled with his own personal paradigm shift, Tom brought to life “Genesis Advisors”, becoming owner and President in March of 2000. Genesis Advisors has since served as an effective manager of 401(k) programs for the employees of large corporations, such as Ford Motor Company and General Motors.

Tom employed his expertise in understanding the way people view money and creative ways to accumulate wealth by assisting listeners of his internet radio show “The Money Shift” in making sound financial decisions that enhanced their lives.

By working closely with a world-renowned expert who has been following money for the last two decades, Tom has honed his expertise in assisting people in making good financial and life decisions. Tom is currently mentoring a national fraternity, in which he helps students make better life choices early on in the game. He also assists businesses in creating ways to prosper and is an active member of the Wayne State University Business School Alumni Association.

In late 2009, Tom became a published author, penning the life-changing book, ”The Money Shift”, which is also available as a CD set. Tom is the inventor of the newly released “The Money Shift” board game!
